About Hannah

I joined the medical school in 2019 as an Enquiry Based Learning (EBL) facilitator before becoming the senior facilitator for year 2 in 2021. Here I coordinated the delivery of EBL across the cohort and supported colleagues in their facilitation practice.

Since 2024, I have led the remediation team, working closely with students who require additional academic support to help them progress successfully through the programme. My educational interests sit at the intersection of study skills, learning, and remediation. In particular I am interested in how students can be supported to develop effective lifelong learning strategies, and how educational methods can be used to foster and sustain these skills throughout training and beyond.

Additional roles I hold within the medical school include:

  • Sessional Clinical Skills Tutor
  • Academic Tutor

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Simulation and Patient Safety and am currently working towards a Master's in Clinical Education.

Clinically, I work as a neonatal doctor. My research interests focus on the development of sleep architecture in moderate to late premature infants, an area with important implications for long-term neurodevelopmental outcomes in this often under-studied group. This is the focus of my PhD, which I am currently undertaking.
