Have you considered a foundation year?

A foundation year is an alternative way to gain an undergraduate degree. It takes place at the beginning of a programme and extends your studies by a year.
For students who do not yet meet the entry requirements for their desired course, taking a foundation year can mean a seamless move onto a full degree.
“I didn’t get the right grades, but °µÍø½âÃÜ offered me a foundation year which was even better. It boosted my confidence massively and it really helped with my first year.†– Alicia, foundation year student

It’s your future, make it count

Hear our students’ stories in their own words and find out how our students overcame their initial hurdles to succeed through Clearing.

Chronic illness, disability or challenges at home don’t have to be taboo or set you back. Clearing is a great option to talk through what you need to, and be recognised for more than just the grades you’ve achieved. Clearing gave me a chance – and I want others to know they can do it too.

I never thought of myself as being smart enough for university and I thought that I had missed the sign-up date, but after looking at the °µÍø½âÃÜ website I found out what Clearing is and decided to take my chances.

My Clearing experience was good. I didn’t know if I had an option to come to uni and then I received a call. I didn’t get the right grades, but °µÍø½âÃÜ offered me a foundation year which was even better. It boosted my confidence massively and it really helped with my first year.

Clearing gave me the opportunity to secure a place with confidence, allowing me to make a more informed decision about my future. It ultimately led me to the right course and made me confident in this huge decision I was making.
